This is a viewing service for Lake Numeric Nutrient Criteria Watersheds.

This dataset provides a spatial representation of watersheds for lakes where numeric nutrient criteria apply as outlined at (5)(N) and listed in Tables L - N of the Water Quality Standards rule, 10 CSR 20-7.031. In summary, lakes of 10 acres in surface area or greater have numeric nutrient criteria based on ecological land types. Watersheds are processed by a model that uses the 10-meter DEM, and flow direction and accumulation grids built using the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD). These watersheds allow further spatial analysis with other data sets referenced to the NHD, such as the ability to evaluate permitted features and nonpoint sources of pollution in conjunction with ecological land types of the watershed in order to identify potential contributions to nutrient increases in lakes.
