Description: This is a viewing service for Stream Classifications and Use Designations. This dataset provides a spatial representation of waters of the state that are classified and designated with beneficial uses as outlined at (2) and listed in Table H - Stream Classifications and Use Designations of the Water Quality Standards rule, 10 CSR 20-7.031. In summary, this data set contains all rivers and streams included in the 1:100,000-scale National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), and all perennial rivers and streams and streams with permanent pools that were classified prior to November 6, 2013. By utilizing the NHD as base data, the Missouri Use Designation Dataset can be used for reporting and tracking these waters, and for wider use in water resources management activities (planning and problem-solving, outreach and education, etc.) at a watershed scale, including the use of applications in the decision-making process to integrate water quality protections through permitting, assessments, development of total maximum daily loads, and more.
